| Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理研究所碩士班 === 93 === The defensible space theory was demonstrated by Newman in 1972. In his opinion, the effects of crime prevention and community consolidation can be improved by environment redesign, building security protection, and the re-arrangement of community space. These projects will successful to decrease the crime activities.
First, on the purpose, the study will review the relevant literatures, and understanding the relations between the crimes and the defensible space of community. Second, the researcher will find the crime prevention influence of the community experiences in Kaohsiung city by questionnaire survey. Finally, the researcher explores the survey results and makes the useful suggestions and strategies for the government authority.
