But variation、instability and the inborn limited all make it face the challenge. This make traditional routing algorithms not suitable for MANET such that On-Demand routing is commonly used on MANET. The path selection criteria of previous On-Demand routing is based on the shortest hop counts. This way may cause load-unbalance, low resource utilization, and low transmission quality. Our research will be analyze the transmission quality based on various delay-based path selection criteria on the On- Demand routing. We calculated the package’s delay which through on each node, and the experiment various kinds of delay as the route select principle. Experiment show that the performance of the different route selection criteria based on delay is similar. Moreover, the situation of MAC contention is critical, even the nodal queue short, still cause the packet has big queue delay.
