Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 歷史研究所 === 93 === As a medievalist with great scholarship and high international reputation, Jacques Le Goff(1924-) is the main leader of the third generation of Annales school. At the age of seventies, in order to renew the way of doing history, Le Goff promoted a “New History” movement with other French historians who agree with the proposition of the historical magazine “Annales.” This movement achieved great success; today, it still has large influence on the international scholarly circle. Besides, Le Goff is often recognized as one of the pioneers of “history of mentalités” and “historical anthropology”. This study tries to understand the profound aspects of Le Goff’s “New History” by capturing the interaction and relationship among his personal life experience, the historical transformation of his living period, and his historical studies.
