The purpose is a further understanding of the effects of antecedents on knowledge sharing performance. The study adopts Senge's definition of knowledge sharing. This is, the activity of helping the other party to develop effective action competence. On the basis of individual knowledge sharing behavior, and viewing knowledge sharing behavior as a typical organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), the study has focused on the impression management motives and the OCB’s three antecedents, which include job satisfaction, perceived fairness, and organizational commitment. The purpose of this is for discussion of knowledge sharing intent and performance. At the same time, this study also discusses the moderating effect of knowledge tacit characteristics. The study has chosen the staffs of the sales department in Chunghwa Telecommunication in Taipei as the study samples. 400 questionnaires were sent out; 219 effective questionnaires were retrieved. The rate of return is 55%. This study utilizes SPSS software of the Windows edition to carry on questionnaire analysis and verify the hypothesis. The results have shown that all the three antecedents of OCB have significant effects on knowledge sharing intent. Organizational commitment has the greatest effect, followed by job satisfaction and finally by perceived fairness with the least effect. The impression management has a minor effect on sharing intent, and the knowledge characteristic has a moderating effect on willingness to share but not on sharing performance.
