It was found that the probiotics tested were significantly able to inhibit the growth of H. pylori BCRC17021 (p<0.05), with B. bifidum BCRC14630 the best. The individual effect of B. bifidum BCRC14630 and its spent supernatants on urease activity of H. pylori BCRC17021 at 37℃ incubation for 18 h in Brucella broth containing 10% donor bovine serum and 0.1% urea showed that the urease activity in H. pylori BCRC17021 culture was significantly inactivated (p<0.05). The pH value of B. bifidum BCRC14630 growth broth dropped to 3.75 ± 0.5 after 24 h incubation. Therefore the viability of H. pylori BCRC17021 was reduced in such high acid media. As the pH value of B. bifidum BCRC14630 spent supernatants was adjusted to 7.0, it still inhibited the growth of H. pylori BCRC17021. The inhibition effect was also observed in the pH3.75 and pH 7.0 B. bifidum BCRC14630 spent supernatants that had been subjected to 100℃ heating and sterilization. The growth of H. pylori BCRC17021 was also inhibited by the co-culture of H. pylori BCRC17021 with B. bifidum BCRC14630 102-108 CFU/mL inoculation. The strongest inhibition was attained as the highest level (108 CFU/mL) of inoculation was used. Chihwei P. Chiu 丘志威 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 94 zh-TW |
