碩士 === 佛光人文社會學院 === 教育資訊學研究所 === 93 === The purpose of this research is to provide the Library readers of Fo Guang College of a Mobile Service System installed on the Personal Digital Assistant（PDA）. This PDA connects to current library automation system via wireless network. It enables readers to search for information in motion. We choose Macromedia Flash MX 2004 and Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 as tools to develop the system and provide Customized Services. Customized Services covers the functions of personal records modification, books recommendation, books reservation, hot news, and suggestions. All the functions can improve the efficiency of utilizing library resources and make library services more satisfied. After the implementation of the system, the accuracy and efficiency of books searching service are improved. In addition, the usage frequency of library and the amount of borrowed books are also increased. Applications in library automation, e-learning, and library instruction are suggested aspects of the future research.
