In media-political times, media playing an important role provide citizen the public discussion space and enhancing citizen political participating. Naturally, the trust of media content is the significant part. Audiences see news as credible and then know political affairs in an appropriate way to participate political validly. Therefore, democracy could expand well. This research is to find the relationship between news media credibility. A random telephone survey of 20-years-old and above Yilan area resident was conducted July 21-23, 2005. A total sample size of 709 was collected. After validity check, the final sample size is 666, with confidential level of .95. Research discovered: 1.According to Factor Analysis, the evaluation of news credibility reveals three dimension: "authoritative", "justness" and "public welfare" ; the political participation reveals four dimension:" voting behavior", "initiative participation", "community conscious " and "national recognize". 2.The correlation he between age and voting rate are directing ratio. In “voting behavior", young people have no interesting to practice. 3.Generally, Elders consider TV news reporting "public welfare" issue less. 4.The more behavior of "initiative participation", the less "justness" does audience think. 5.Audiences which have party tendency will view TV news as "justness" and call on friends voting to particular candidate or party actively. 6.In "community conscious ", newspaper users are stronger then internet users. 7.People less-educated consider that TV news is "justness". 8.Internet users evaluate the "authoritative" and "justness" of TV news low then TV users. 9.Young people aren’t catching on the concept of "national recognize".
