While human made them better, and also made pollutants to the surroundings. Sewage is one kind of pollutants what human made, so people must to build some sewage works. In 2003, sanitary sewer popularize rate was 10.4% in Taiwan area. By evaluating in 2009, there will over 14.6 million tons sewage sludge be produced annually in Taiwan. As curing sewage precisely, sewage sludge was been cope with many ways. Government has to endure the place getting, and the constantly rising cost of sludge treatment and disposal. They plan to establish a sludge management strategy and develop technology for sludge resource. Composting of sewage sludge has been practiced in many countries, so the nutrients and organic matters in sewage sludge can be beneficially used to grow plants. However, how was to prevent the potential harm from the sewage sludge, especially for heavy metals and soluble salts. Figure shows the temperature tendency of compost made from sewage sludge and zeolite addition. The process was turned over every 5 days. The reaction temperature increased over the period time from 0 through 10 days, and rapidly up to the thermophilic phase (>55℃) as a result of the intense microbial activity. The control set had kept thermophilic phase until 20 days, and readily biodegradable organic material was oxidized. But the temperature decreased sonly for the control set after 20 day and raised up about 40℃ after 30 day. However, 20%zeolite set could been kept 40℃ around 25 days, it seems that zeolite could supplied more porous holes for microbes using spaces and oxygen to reproduce microbial cultures. Both of sets were cooled down the temperature below 40℃ after 50 day near ambient temperature, it may show that the composting process could become mature through less two months. none 江康鈺 2005 學位論文 ; thesis 110 zh-TW
