| Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 建築所 === 93 === Recently a defective design of hospital courtyard space topic revealed by public as subjects entering the building of which was dedicated on the planning of visual embellishment and decoration for the inlet/outlet and moving path rather than focus on the courtyard spatial requirement. Although some of hospitals provide the courtyard space for subjects to use but have ignorance on the practicing of facilities and site space. Furthermore, most hospitals have no idea about how to compromise the awareness and requirements for special users as subjects using the courtyard space.
Taichung Hospital of Department of Health of Executive Yuan takes a deep concern about how to compromise the climate and users’ practical requirement for which has impacted the utility rate of courtyard facilities. Although subject has kindly provides two sky yards and a café bar for users but shortage on their utility rate. Therefore to take a renovation design for current landscape yard concerned is necessary for subject. This paper aims at the space utilities rate of before and after garden facilities by implement observation and interview.
According to Blumer (1969), an anthropologist indicate that human being society is assembled by dedicated actors and all about is the result of human being interacts. Therefore, the observation presents a kind of description of processing from human being interactive behavior rather than an assembling of individual life and practice. Hence, in this paper adopting non-intervene method to observe the utilizing behavior as subjects using interior courtyard facilities. In order to analysis site different visual characteristics of subjects and regarding meanings by focus on the relationship between the facilities and respective utilizing behaviors, on the other hand implementing documentation collection and practice for related subjects of sociology, environmental psychology, environmental behavior, and outdoor environmental experience etc.
Other than those data not available received from observation for which by adopting questionnaire and interview manners as an assistant tools to explore the contents of individual behavior, an aspect to understand other factors as the space influence individual behavior. Hopefully, this paper may propose for those hospital management and landscape designers to advance the beneficial result of hospital courtyard space.
