碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 建築所 === 93 === These days, the relationship of people and the residential environment has been becoming intensive because of converts of social construction and economic type, and also of the difference among people. According to the statistic document from Sanitary Ministry, the growth of the clinical numbers of chronic and critical mental disease in 1993 and 2003 is 232.45% and 8.68%, as well as of the number of wards is 205.05% and 5.79%. Obviously, the patients suffering from mental disease has been increasing years after years. Furthermore, because mental diseases usually accompany some other diseases, such as other mental problems and chronic diseases, for such a hard situation, not only patients lost their work ability, but also becoming a big burden to their family and society, with the reasons, the issue undertaking a proper diagnosis and treatment to them has been focused in public health. Even though so far the medical center that opening psychiatric department all target on designing a warm, private and comfortable space for psychiatric patients to adjust treatments with physical, mental and spirit, the information of designing still all adopt from some advance countries as Europe, America and Japan. But there are great differences between our country and others in culture and customs, all the arrangement of medical space probably might not fit in all our needs. So how to build up our own local basic information of psychiatric wards to fit our practical situation has become a important issue to explore. The goals of the research is likely to establish some basic resources of a flat arrangement, space planning and motion lines which are adapted in the research. Moreover, to obtain better Architecture planning system through looking over the cross analysis and comparing merits between architecture and the model of industry management: The expecting results in the research: A. Establish a formula of flat arrangement of psychiatric wards in general hospital of nowadays Taiwan. B. Set up a proper formula of flat arrangement through comparing the differences and merits from variety types. C. Build up reference resources for flat arrangement with completed functions through the general assessments in the research.
