This type of steel plates not only has higher ductility but also has superior capability of energy absorption. In view of this, first, it is necessary to identify the charactensfic of the LYS-100 steel and then apply them to produce the low yield strength blucking restrained brace . From the cyclic tests, we can understand the quakeproof benefit of the LYS-100 BRB.
