This research analyzes the problems occurring in the logistics management of the〝 A 〞organization through qualitative analysis method. After presenting the problem, this thesis will also offer solutions to improve the process of logistics management and inventory control, and to enhance the efficiency of the R&D materials inventory. Materials for R&D usually own the characteristics of one-time purchase, short period of usage, uncertainty and complexity. If they are overly controlled, it may limit the R&D staff and result in an insufficient material supply. On the other hand, if the materials are not controlled properly or are controlled loosely, it might cause the waste of resources and, hence, make the cost of the project increase dramatically. Therefore, in comparison with traditional material management, R&D material management requires a better mechanism and sophisticated skills to precisely control the demand and cost of all materials. In order to solve the high inventory problem that the company illustrated in the thesis encounters, we recommend to develop a “pull” logistics management flow starting from the customers'' side. The method is to reconstruct from within. Through the establishment and reinforcement of a material management system, resources of organization, including labor, material and finance, etc., can be effectively utilized to achieve a more efficient operation and increase the overall competitiveness of the〝 A 〞organization.
