The government in Taiwan thus intends to reorganize the structure of domestic financial markets to avoid unnecessary over investment in the banking industries to reduce the fixed costs of banks, such as personnel expense and office rental expenses. Besides the traditional operation, banks can adjust the their cost-management structures not only by merging with other companies and establishing financial holding companies, but also by operating E-banks or virtual banks to replace some functions of traditional banks, and consequently reduce the fixed operation costs. E-banks can offer the services including the businesses provided in traditional banks, such as deposit, account transfer, payment, account management, etc. However, credit ratings and loan businesses, such as mortgage application, are still not available on line in Taiwan. Therefore, this study focuses on the evaluation of the feasibility of the factors attributed to the feasibility of the operation of the on-line “computerized home mortgage loan systems”. Whether if the on-line mortgage application system can allow bankers to avoid the geographical restrictions, increase revenue, lower cost and expand customer resources, are tested in this study through the buildup of AHP model.
