| Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 保險金融管理系碩士班 === 93 === Human factors play an important role in health risk management, so, people’s perceptions of health risks are noteworthy. Risk communication is based on people’s risk perception. Accordingly, an appropriate health risk communication strategy is important to a hospital’s risk management.
This study investigates Taichung Citizen’s perceptions of risks arising from a variety of cancer. In terms of a survey questionnaire method, some findings are as flows:
Two dimensions, including the extent of prevention and dread, significantly affect people’ perceptions of a variety of cancer risks. Furthermore, the sex and age factors significantly influence perceptions of risks arising from some of cancers.
Finally, the highest extent of perceived risk is from a liver cancer risk, the extent of perceived risks arising from the remaining cancers is at a lower level.
