Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 環境工程與管理系碩士班 === 93 === The air emission of VOCs(volatile organic compounds) that produced from the industrial activities may not only lead to the problems of bad odor, which could lower the air quality in the neighborhood but also threaten the safety of industry and individual health. The concentration of emission has been used as a controlling tool in the traditional air pollution prevention policy. Even though the concentration of pollution from its source is under the standard , it could harm the air quality due to the accumulation of pollution in certain area. The conception of “ the control of total volume” could provide a more complete and effective controlling system, in which we could achieve the goal of promotion both in environmental quality and manufacturing process.
The research is focused on the calculation of the capacity of accommodation and the setting of emission right on VOCs in the industrial district and also probing into the emission of VOCs in it at present. We need to establish an controlling strategy at the earlier stage as preliminary arrangements for “ the control of total volume”, which will accelerate the performance of it in the future.The research shows that the full capacity of accommodation of VOCs in Taichung Industrial Park is 1901.4 tons/year. After calculating, the right of VOCs emission in per unit square meter is 0.511 kilogram per square meter/ per year.Those overload emission companies are printing(39.8%),plastic bag manufacturing(15.4%), paper manufacturing(8.9%) and Passive electronic component manufacturing(8.6%),which make up 73% of the total emission volume. Therefore we could reduce the amount of VOCs emission effectively if we control and assist those companies to do the pollution prevention and improve the manufacturing process.The result of this research suggests that the amount of VOCs emission should be controlled by formal criteria and sound systems , and the information resources of pollution prevention cost in the data base should be extended and integrated so that we could achieve the goal of minimizing the pollution prevention cost while we are doing “ the control of total volume”.
