Whether industrial vicissitude or knowledge renewal rapidly develop, the industry needs a large quantity of professionals to face this highly competitive era; and the higher education is precisely a nation’s cradle to foster the professionals, whom the competitive ability of the industry relates to. Along with the popularization of higher education recently, departments related to environmental engineering are continually instituted in universities and colleges; in result, the situation creates the increase of environmental protection professionals. Therefore, whether the specialized professional who is cultivated by the environmental engineering education can use proficiently what he has learned in the employment market or whether the content of school curriculum meets the need of the industrial field, so as to achieve the purpose of “the consistency between academic and productivity” is a problem worth concerning. A questionnaire survey, which aimed to generalize the industrial field’s points of view about the current environmental engineering curriculum, was conducted for the study. The questionnaires were distributed to the professional related to the domestic industries, including the electronics, the petrochemistry, the steel and iron, the environmental protection consultants and more other industries. The analysis focused on the significant curriculum for various industries was conducted by using the statistical software SPSS 10.0 and one-sample t test; in addition, the differentiation examination on the same issue was carried out by using the independent-sample t test, single factor variation analysis, and multiple comparisons with variables of the different background respectively. The results show that about 40% fundamental curricula and 58% specialized curricula have been identified as the important courses. Each industrial category has its requirements in the environmental specialties. However, the course of ENGLISH is the most consistent view in the questionnaires. The ENVIRONMENTAL LAW is the most important specialty requirement in the environmental engineer training. Due to the development of international environmental issues, the interviewees recommended some new courses should be trained in the future environmental programs to improve the future competition.
