Description
Summary:碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 93 === Designers usually apply computer simulation to conduct various analyses on products in the early stage of CAD, so as to minimize the cost and time in making amendment or working models. While applying computer simulation, ergonomic considerations of the product and operators’ postures should include not only the reachable regions of body limbs, but also the nature movement of operators. This study developed a 3D simulation platform executable via web browser. Designers can load CAD models from client computer onto the platform and match it with the 3D model of human movement from server side. The platform displays 3D objects on the computer screen by OpenGL techniques and provides function of collision detection to assist clients in designing and analyzing their products. Several industrial designers were invited to evaluate the use of the platform. Their opinions about concept of collaborative product design and about installation, operation, usability and function of the platform were collected via telephone or interview. Collected opinions and suggestion were reviewed and kept as references for future development of the platform.
