Summary: | 碩士 === 中台醫護技術學院 === 放射科學研究所 === 94 === The quality assurance (QA) of intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) by film is a very important work when using this new technique to treat tumor. We use the new developed Gafchromic EBT film for dosimetry study in this work. First, we measure the characteristic of the film and establish a procedure for reading. Second, we put the film into the solid water phantom's reference point and the patient's oral cavity to do in-vivo dosimetry for IMRT. We have compared the results with treatment planning system. Our in-vivo dosimetry can verify the real tumor dose in clinic situation.
The measured dosimetry results for solid water phantom are 2% more than IMRT mode one measurement, and 3.7% less than IMRT mode two measurement. For in-vivo dosimetry, the mean error is 2.56% for buccal cancer and the mean error is 5.26% for tongue cancer.
By this study, we can understand the structure and characteristic of this film as well as establish procedure of calibration and readings. In order to reduce error and increase accuracy, we also made suggestions for using this film to do dose measurements. Through patient in-vivo dosimetry, we can achived the goal of quality assurance.
