Utilizing ProSource optics software, Analysis is done on the radiation source model to produce a basic radiation program file. This file is then used on the ASAP optical simulation software to simulate the radiation flux of every mirror on the integral rod. It leads the result to ANSYS which can analyze a temperature simulation, comparison with calculations of the actual temperature is made. In this thesis are investigated integral rod failure of all different kinds of simulations. Analysis of the difference in temperature is made by placing an UV-IR on the front of the integral rod which is then compared to that of an UV-IR placed on the back of the integral rod.
