For safety measures, several pressure sensors combined pressure map are used to measure pressure distribution by the foot during walking, and MSC1211 CPU is used to record trainee’s physiological signal such as body temperature and heart rate for biofeedback purpose. In order to reduce the quantity of therapist’s workload, this treadmill is designed in wireless transmission to provide biofeedback for every trainee automatically who is in the database. The biofeedback method is based on heart rate sensor, body temperature sensor, gyroscope and position measuring sensors that inputs the heart rate, body temperature, tilting angle and foot pressure distribution directly. This treadmill able to response to the trainee walking training conditions to increase the training effect, tele-monitoring and tele-control biofeedback . The fast growing of the information and network technologies change the style of the daily life. People are able to shop, survey, and order products through the Internet at home. However, the internet applications for the rehabilitation are also not popular. According to the trends of the information and network technologies, the tele-rehabilitation is to be an important issue in near future. The tele-rehabilitation system consists of the synchronous and asynchronous video and audio grabbing, physiological signal collection, activity of daily living monitoring, and remote equipment control. It aims to promote a remote treatment of the COPD patients. Based on the proposed distributed object-oriented tele-rehabilitation control and monitoring platform, the rehabilitation equipment is able to connect the internet directly. In addition, the multi-functional tele-monitoring and tele-control biofeedback software modules are developed to dynamically monitor and control the remote rehabilitation equipment to increase the safety of the patients and reduce the administrative efforts. This research is focused to develop foot pressure bio-feedback motor control rehabilitation equipment for COPD patient the clinical considerations, and the results are clinically evaluated and validated, and are actually to enhance the quality of life.
