The IPv4 will be not enough to use in recent years, therefore, Next generation Internet protocol - IPv6 has been to spread and develop in these years. IPv6 attempts to replace IPv4 network environment. There are many services running in Internet, people are more and more dependent on Internet. How to build reliable network is very a important issue. To consider above-listed requirements, we have implemented of native IPv6 SOHO Router with multihoming function based on Linux embedded system to help SOHO user connecting the IPv6 Internet. It will attempt to provide a lower-cost, high reliability and multiple functions. In this thesis, based on the RFC documents with general users’ requirements and characteristics, we have design of some necessary capabilities and provide a user-friendly interface for this IPv6 SOHO Router. The feasibility of IPv6 SOHO Router also has been proved through the system implementation.
