The nurses are the first line service personnel. They have to enrich their medical professional knowledge and skill to improve the professional capability in order to provide better medical service and higher patient and their family members’ satisfaction. Due to the shortage of the nursing resources, the nurses are busy and their work model is shift-work. So, they have difficulty of attending traditional fixed schedule concentrated education. But the continue nursing education is inevitable. It is a natural trend to utilize e-Learning in continue nursing education in the fast blooming information technology and Internet era. The objective of this study is to find out current status of e-Learning in continue nursing education for academic and information industry reference and to identify the critical factors of implement e-Learning in continue nursing education as a reference of the medical organization’s implementation and as a foundation of future study. The study was developed by reviewing the related literatures and interviewing with domain experts and the case study methodology was utilized in order to increase the validity of this research. In this study, we organized the Organization Characteristics factors, Environment Characteristics factors, and e-Learning Characteristics factors, and by discriminant analysis. A total of 522 questionnaires were mailed and 201 were returned. The response rate was 38.5%. After the analysis, there turned out to be 5 variables with discriminant powers. There were the top manager support, hospital size, computer literacy, competitions, and software system.
