Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊傳播學系 === 92 === The purpose of this study is to explore playfulness factors of traditional play based on game psychology and to analyze how the application of these factors have been used to the modern electronic game design. In addition, this research identifies the playfulness factors of traditional play, which are frequently and seldom applied at present, in order to investigate the development directions and integration trends of these playfulness factors. This research adopts a focus group interview to find out the playfulness factors of traditional play, and an in-depth interview to inquire the application of these factors into electronic game design. The result indicates that the playfulness factors of traditional play and electronic games indeed have some corresponding connections. Such connections can be observed not only in the history of game development but also the types of games. The factors, which are seldom applied, are difficult to use because of several reasons including poor conditions in technology, game planning, high cost, and risk affordability. The factors, which are frequently applied, can be improved by creative combination and technology structure. Finally, it is for certain that introducing playfulness factors of traditional play into an electronic game design will benefit to both the creative ideas of games and diversification of game content.
