Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 管理研究所 === 92 === This thesis has multiple purposes, first, for an overview in the leaderships of the elementary schools in Taoyuan County; secondly for an overview in the teaching performance of the elementary schools in Taoyuan County; then for realizing the difference of the teachers’ teaching performance under different leaderships of the principals; furthermore, and for a picture of the influences of the pupils’ learning motivation to the teachers’ teaching performance and the principal’s leaderships. At last this thesis presents some suggestions based on the research results, to the educational administrative agencies, schools and school teachers, as reference for enhancing the principals’ transformation leadership as well as the teachers’ teaching performance.
The present study makes use of questionnaire survey and conducts questionnaire data collection by distributing the “Principal’s Leadership and Teachers’ Teaching Performance Survey Questionnaire” compiled by the writer and also conducts the test of the pupils’ learning motivation with “A Questionnaire on Learning Motivation Scale”. The present study conducts a level-specific random sampling among the elementary schools in Taoyuan County, and as a result, 44 principals, 176 teachers and 352 pupils are taken as specimens for the study. Next the data and information thus obtained are analyzed with statistical methods such as Frequency Distribution, Mean Value, Standard Deviation, Mean Value Variation Test, One-way ANOVA, Two-way ANOVA, Scheffe Multiple Comparison, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation.
The study finds the conclusions as follows through induction of the analysis results:
1. Principal’s leading performance receives positive feedback from both the principals and teachers in the elementary schools in Taoyuan County;
2. Teachers’ teaching and directing performance receives positive feedback from both the principals and teachers in the elementary schools in Taoyuan County;
3. The study finds a positive correlation between proportional Principal’s leading performance and teacher’s teaching performance;
4. The study also finds a positive correlation between the pupils’ learning motivation and the teacher’s teaching performance;
5. Both the principal’s transformation leading performance and the pupil’s learning motivation affect the teacher’s teaching performance however show no significant interaction; 6. Among the teacher’s basic variables, age and tenure influence the teacher’s teaching performance however show no significant interaction;
7. Among the personal statistical variables of principals, none shows significant interaction with either the principal’s transformation leading performance or the teacher’s teaching performance.
