Over these recent years, on-line learning environment has led to a learning model of collaborative learning. Yet, it is found that such kind of learning environment has nevertheless resulted in students' low-spirited learning. Combining two modes of collaborative learning and competitive learning, this study attempts to raise students' learning motivations, and further promote achievements, in ways of competitive learning behavior. However, on-line learning environment indeed has several limits in time and space. In addition to adequate time and certain Internet-based equipments, it is also difficult for students to get on-line at the same time. This paper puts together short message services of mobile telecommunication and collaborative-competitive webs learning, conveying students' learning conditions in words to students through short message services. It is hoping that with the convenience of short messages, the weakness of space-time factor in learning on-line can be positively solved, and further increase students’ using frequency, raising learning motivations, and promoting achievements. The experimental data of this paper comes from the information gathered through the whole researching process, including five dimensions of pre-accomplishments and auxiliary learning tool, learning behavior, learning accomplishments, anxiety and motive. In connection with every two of the five dimensions, it is found that the mode of collaborative-competitive learning can greatly promote students' learning outcomes, while short messages can be very useful in improving students' mutual interaction, being a good reminder for their learning activities, helping them to understand individual progresses of each other, and promoting their achievements.
