Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 資訊工程學系 === 92 === Routing protocol is one of the primary issues in Ad Hoc wireless networks. In this thesis, the key idea is to utilize characteristics of location awareness and ultra wide bandwidth to develop a DSR based routing algorithm for the UWB Ad Hoc network, named UWBDSR.
The route selection in the proposed algorithm is based on the power consumption, transmission rate and mobile effect along with their degrees and weights to figure out an applicable route. Furthermore, we also propose a set of fuzzy rules to adjust the weights for the current topology. We set different weights for the local fields with distinct stabilities. Then, we measure the power consumption and transmission distance to reduce the probability of disconnection and thus improve the network performance. Additionally, based on the characteristics of the network, we can set the lowest acceptable power and performance constraints for the communication.
The simulation results show that the UWBDSR with multiple considering issues, fuzzy weight adjustment, and disconnect avoidance mechanisms, all have improved the performance. To compare with the generic DSR, DIR and MER algorithms, the transmission rate of the proposed algorithm can be improved by 1.6 times, 1.1 times and 5.6 times on average and the stability of transmission route can also be improved by about14%, 5.7% and 64.9%, respectively.
