Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 化學工程學系 === 92 === In this study we used dynamic viscoelasticity analyzer, dynamic light scattering and Zeta potential analyzer to study physical properties of Nafion/DMF (N,N-dimethyl formamide) solutions. The dynamic viscoelasticity data revealed polyelectrolyte solution properties of Nafion/DMF solutions. Dynamic light scattering data showed Nafion /DMF solutions have two relaxation modes with correlation lengths around 60 and 104~105 nm as the Nafion concentration was below 5.0 mg/mL. However, the Nafion correlation lengths were around 30 nm as Nafion concentration was increased above 7.0 mg/mL. The value of Zeta potential increased with Nafion concentration. The value of depolarization ratio decreased with Nafion concentration. From the experiment results, we concluded that Nafion molecules appeared as single chains and ionic aggregation particles, while Nafion concentration was below 5.0 mg/mL. As Nafion concentration was higher than 7.0 mg/mL, Nafion molecular chains overlapped with each other and no ionic aggregations were observed.
