So enterprises must create the new product at every moment, and it lead to the product life cycle time diminished. Under the pressure, enterprises must diminish the time of product design, guide the collaborative design model which is professionals participate in design and develop to aid to modular design that can be have commonly, serial, economical. Focus on functional design, it makes product variety. In other words, focus on manufacturing design, it aid to diminish product cost. Therefore, how to build the frame of modular design in the collaborative design is very important, and present the effective evaluate model to make policymaker to refer. In the same way, how to make shorter the design cycle time and keep function of the product under go combine team’s collaborative design condition, to make policymaker to refer, this subject is important the same. This paper building two steps of frameworks about to solve modular design and people assign problems in collaborative design condition. First, to confer the relationship between the functional and manufacture model. Basing on multi-department collaboration evaluates the importance about the function and manufacture of the product, and designers evaluate the relationship under the function and manufacture of between the two parts.
This paper present simultaneous and sequence modular design policies. Evaluating manufactured cost and functional benefit of simultaneous and sequence modular design result, then compute the output that minimum rate of cost and benefit to choice the optimum modular design policy. Second, according to optimum modular design result of the first step, to present optimum assign module of minimum design time and maximum component performance at combine team’s collaborative design under known related data of designers and components. Then by the modular estimate and designer assign result, it can give manager a referral and aid to arrange resources of design and manufacture at the design phase.
