Using the case study method, this study tried to probes the relationship between the following three of industrial design industry:Organizational Competence, Performance System and Competitive Advantage. There were three main industrial design companies in Taiwan were included in this study. On the basis of second hand data collected and information obtained by deep interviewing, this study had analyzed organizational competence of industrial design consultanting company、required items of organizational competence、performance system、competitive advantage and elements of competitive advantage, and finally, the relationship between organizational competence, performance system and competitive advantage. Main conclusions of this study were as fallowed: 1.Industrial design consultanting company’s organizational competence、performance system and competitive advantage differ with different services it offers. 2.Design quality、innovation and customer satisfaction are main resources of competitive advantages in industrial design consultant company. 3.Specialized design、team work and creativity are main competences for the industrial design consultant company more competitive. 4.Performance evaluation system can strengthen the industrial design consultant company’s organizational competence and competitive advantage. 5.Industrial design consultant company would develop synthetic design from the original main organizational competence upward or downward for different developing background.
