Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 工業設計系碩士班 === 92 === The main concern of personal article design is the communication between the user and his/her properties, especially about the understanding and feelings of the carrying. At the moment of revitalization of traditional craft and vernacular consciousness, it is very important to incorporate the appropriate image into the modern design of a product. The major idea is to elevate the design value and better communicate its specific meaning of a fashion design.
This study is to investigate the cultural content and symbolic meanings of the gold- and silver-made articles in order to extract appropriate cultural elements for the modernization of product design. The purposes of this study are:
1. to extract the traditional cultural codes for further examination of dialogue between cultural totem and fashion design,
2. to conduct a survey of current fashion articles for the understanding of its specific theme, trends and approach of the fashion industry, and
3. to figure out the acceptable modern codes for a better strategy of fashion design.
The results of this study propose three strategies for a better modern fashion design:
(1) diversification strategy, (2) differentiation strategy, and (3) fashionalization strategy.
