We found out the appropriate sample sizes are five to seven for variable sampling intervals Cpm control chart and short and long sampling intervals would be suggested to be 0.1 and 1.9 respectively. We also found that the variable sampling interval on the Cpm is more efficiency to detect the small shift of process, and it can be applied the situation when we need to monitor the products purchased from other company and to ensure the quality of the products.
