In this thesis, I have introduced the concept of Semantic Web which is invented by Tim Berners-Lee (the inventor of the World Wide Web and the director of the World Wide Web Consortium) and the available description language are RDF (W3C Recommendations) and XML Topic Maps (ISO 13250) which both provide a common framework that allows data to be shared and reused.
I will implement the Planning—Based Tailored Services on Topic Maps Knowledge Base. This research emphasizes on Topic Maps skeleton on special domain information. We build a TAO module based the inference engine of frame-based system and build a planning based query module support customized services. Besides, we also provide a XTM graph view environment for user to browse the content of a topic map according to their structures.
Through this kind of mechanism, I hope to provide a way for knowledge management and knowledge representation more easily and method for maintain information more efficiently.
With the rapidly generalized internet, the data of every region are being advanced speedily. These huge data are distributed in every corner of the world. Therefore, how to process these resources is also becoming more important.
The purpose of using Semantic Web technology is to automate the processing of document content by imposing a metadata layer to the document pool. In this thesis we take the technologies of Semantics Web as the basis to investigate how to design and implement a process engine. We hope that the process model in static documents automatically transfer into the computer where will process it, and then to combine the process with artificial intelligence language and relative data.
