The conventional method to perform the multiplayer storage is changing the distance between the point source and the disk by using a translation stage. Owing to artificiality and the precision of machine the inaccuracies were produced. Although the inaccuracies can be improved via other way, the complexity of system’s structure was increased at the improved process simultaneously. Therefore, a novel compact optical readout head comprising a fiber array is designed to replace the longitudinal translation stage in our experiment and improve the performance. The technique yields the efficient usage of dynamic range and promotes the storage capacity potentially. In addition, four parts will be discussed in this thesis. The first part, the design of a novel compact optical head was introduced. The second part, the comparison of reflection type and transmission type in different orientation of the crystal has been analyzed. We have fined a suitable recording structure for multiplayer storage system. In the third part, we have investigated the shifting sensitivity theoretically and experimentally in our experimental system.
