Summary: | 碩士 === 大同大學 === 光電工程研究所 === 92 === This thesis is concerned with the growth of carbon nanotubes via thermal chemical deposition. By the sol-gel process, a solution containing Fe(NO3)3•9H2O, ethyl alcohol, binder paste, was spread uniformly on a silicon substrate by spin coating. The nano-sized particle catalyst, Fe, was formed by sintering when removing the nitrate . After sintering, the substrate was loaded into the quartz tube and carbon nanotubes were grown by the thermal chemical vapor deposition (CVD). Thick film screen printing process was employed to fabricate diode-type field emission display. CNTs was collected from the substrate and then mixed with solvent, binder, Ag powders and glass powders to form CNT a paste, which was then printed on another silicon substrate. The green phosphor was coated on ITO glass as an anode. Moreover, by the sol-gel process, a solution containing Fe(NO3)3•9H2O, ethyl alcohol, binder paste, was printed with pattern on silicon substrate. The whole pattern was built up of 21X21 circles with 120 μm diameter to achieve selective growth of CNTs. The as-grown CNTs possesses excellent field emission characteristic with current density as high as 10 mA/cm2.
