| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 視覺藝術研究所 === 92 === In this research thesis the author develops through the study on related articles on the expression and application of light and shade and on the research of form and skill.expression of relative’s love.
First, the author discusses the relationship between light and shade and image expression. After that the author tries to explore the physical properties and the classification of light and further analyze the aesthetics of light and shade, plastic psychology and image constitution.
Moreover, the author exemplifies the expression and application chronologically by famous and important artists and photographers and illustrates how light and shade are applied to flat image works（of traditional painting and Modern photography）and the image effects they produce.
Lastly, the author proceeds with his photographic creation of images of relative’s love on the basis of the research about the application of light and shade.
This creation research is expressed and classified by four series:
1.relative’s love of animal
2.lines and motion
3.image synthesis
4.symbols
Besides illustrating the perspectives and content of my works about images of relative’s love, the author analyzes the expressive technique and form of his works and interprets the application of digital processing images.
At the end of the research the author reviews the whole process and the result of his art creation and hopes himself could do continuous development and improvement in the future.
