Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 國民教育研究所 === 92 === The research primarily focused on inquiring into different background variables in volleyball games of Taipei municipal elementary schools. It probed not only the influence between achievement motivation and team cohesion, but also the correlation among the three - achievement motivation, team cohesion and sport performance. Research objects were some chosen athletes from the Taipei Elementary School Teachers and Students Cup Volleyball Championship of 91 academic year. For instance, in the aspect of sixth graders set, the selected objects were from the top 3 qualifiers and other 3, randomly chosen from the unqualified teams, in the qualification competition. However, in the fifth graders set, the top 2 winning teams and other 2 missed qualifying ones were picked up.
The data, which obtained by investigations of this research, were analyzed by statistical methods including item analysis, factor analysis, descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s Method and Pearson Product-Moment correlation. The major findings of this study were as follows:
1. On the sex: The achievement motivation of the male volleyball players is higher than female’s.
2. On the grade: The players of the fourth and fifth grades gain more achievement than that of sixth grader. Whereas, the sixth grade players’ team cohesion is better than that of the fifth graders.
3. On the players’ role: The achievement motivation and team cohesion of the start servers are superior to non-start players.
4. On the achievement motivation and team cohesion: There is positive correlation.
This research results can be provided as a reference in training volleyball representatives and conducting the management.
