Description
Summary:碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 科學教育研究所 === 92 === The main purpose of this study was to design and implement a web-based adaptive tutoring system which was applied in a practical elementary science class. This study adopted two research methods included: system development approach, survey research method (for system assessment). This study selected three elementary science classes from the sixth grade as the research samples and conducted web-based science learning and teaching by means of adaptive tutoring system. After system implementation, this study made system assessment by using survey research which investigated science teacher, computer teacher, and student by questionnaire. Finally interviewed nine students and three teachers who selected at random, to assess this system whether it could apply to elementary science teaching and learning, and understood user’s attitude and opinions toward this system. The findings of this study were summarized as follows: 1. Practicing adaptive tutoring system has a positive influence on students’ science learning process. 2. A web-based tutoring system must have good digital content that could exert effect. 3. The learning record function in adaptive tutoring system helps teacher and researcher to trace student’s learning status. 4.Adaptive tutoring system increases student’s interest and confidence of nature science learning. Furthermore, suggestions for system designer and developer, system improvement, system implementation, and future research were proposed.
