Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 日本研究所碩士在職專班 === 92 === In 1890(Meiji 23), 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」which was announced by Emperor Meiji had been enforced not only in Japanese but also in all colonies including Taiwan. Even though after 60 years of WW2, the elder people who educated by Japan in Taiwan still keep 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 in mind till now. After taking possession of Taiwan, the first minister of educational administration of the authorities in Taiwan, with the purpose of assimilating, had begun teaching the Japanese language in every educational institutes, meanwhile ,students had to study「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 as well .Afterward, 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」had became the contents of Moral Courses officially in the public elementary schools for Taiwanese. Children learned the contents of 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 by teachers’ dictation when the textbook of Moral Courses had not been compiled. In the last year of Meiji,the reference book of Moral course for teachers had been compiled and issued, although it was not the textbook for students, but the way that compiled「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 into the textbook of Moral Course had been made at this period. The textbook of Moral Course had been official taught in the first year of Taisho(1912), following is the three terms which separate by the date of issued: According to the preface of the first textbook of Moral Course, the textbook has to base on 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」,the situation of Taiwan, choosing proper contents for textbooks to enhance virtues of children. The subjects of「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 included family ,personal, nation, society. Textbook for junior used more family and personal subjects, by increasing of age, there would added more nation and society subjects. For easy to read「The Imperial Descript on Education 」,they put the whole article in the front pages of textbook 4~6 . In 1928(Showa 3),the textbook had been re-edited. It still based on the first edition, and added more detailed contents of 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」.In this period, the contents of the textbook has reached same qualities with Japanese public elementary schools . The third term is 1941(Showa 16), it was in the middle of WW2. The “Imperial People Conversion Motion” has been enforced harshly. Hence, the basic essence of civilian education~「The Imperial Descript on Education 」~ had been inculcated to the children of Taiwan. The Imperial Descript on Education during Japan colonial period in Taiwan. was teaching 「The Imperial Descript on Education 」 to the children in Taiwan and assimilating them became the civilian of Japan .It did a significant influence to the children in Taiwan deeply.
