Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 機械與機電工程學系 === 92 === As the new eras coming, medical sciences have to face some serious technical problems that can’t be solved by traditional medical technologies. In some particular medical treatments, patients have to take injections or medicines periodically. These treatments may be taken yearly, monthly, weekly, or even daily. Patients are always suffered from the pain of injections and operations. This will substantially reduce patient’s life quality. These treatments will also increase patient’s trouble and cause other problems for patients. They may have to spend a lot of time traveling between their houses and hospitals, and to register and wait before they can be checked. All these situations are surely not good things for any patient to take. Therefore, an automatic medicine release system is a crucial technique in medical treatment concerning pain-taken, time-consumed and convenience for patients. Our design combines the ideas from a large variety of different fields. The micro-technique is applied to minify an automatic medicine release system into a very tiny and thin chip, which is so called a medicine loader. The chip can be planted right under patients’ epidermis through a basic surgery. After the embedding, the chip will release medicine periodically and quantitatively into human body. The system will help patients to receive medical treatment with no extra efforts or special care. It is known that the most difficult problem of medicine release system is to release medicine periodically and quantitatively inside human body. The new design has been equipped with the ability to resolve this difficulty.
