Nowadays, immigration has already become a tendency and also a public topic. Geographically, it shows that the majority of immigrants distribute in Europe. However, among European leading countries, Germany is the biggest immigrated Country. In this thesis, three important key points will be emphasized. Firstly, prior to the beginning of 20th century, Germany played a role as an emigration country, but it turns into an immigration country after WWII. The transformation factor is worthy of our research. Secondly, foreign population in Germany is increasing, that results in numerous political, economic and social problems. What’s along with the problems and if any possibility to minimize the negatives are crucial for Germany. Thirdly, While more and more immigrants moving into Germany, the German government has been proposing the new naturalization laws and revising the foreigner law. At the same time, the new immigration law draft has also come to implementation. This thesis is divided into six chapters and the structure is as follows: Chapter 1 will be the Introduction. Chapter 2 will discuss the immigration history of Germany from 15 centuries to WWII. Chapter 3 will introduce German immigrant situation in the 90’s. Chapter 4 will discuss the economic, political and social problems which caused by immigrants. Chapter 5 will introduce the new Naturalization laws and the new immigration law draft which German government proposed to solve problems involving immigrants. Chapter 6 will be the conclusion.
