Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 92 === When facing saturated industrial environments, which caused increasing competition and decreasing profit, organizations will have to reconsider and select its survival niche. Furthermore, how to maintain a growing trend becomes an important topic under the intensive globalization development. Since conglomerate possesses abundant resources comparing to single business, organizations are transforming themselves into the pattern of conglomeration in order to maximize their profit. Thus, diversification and conglomeration have become a newly developed pattern for Taiwanese enterprises. The purpose of this study is to explore what organizational characteristics would be related to intrapreneurship which is instrumental to structuring a conglomerate business pattern.
Major findings of this study include:
1.Environmental characteristics are significantly related to
innovation. Therefore, Taiwanese enterprises pay serious
attention to technology development and innovation. The
environment characteristic and the innovation has reveals the
relations, therefore may understand Taiwan the group
enterprise quite takes technical the development and the
innovation.
2.Organizational characteristics and environmental
characteristics both are significantly related to self-
renewal orientation. The relationship is probably caused by
the popularity of the concept of organizational change and
organizational reengineering in the past.
3.Organizational characteristics and environmental
characteristics both are positively related to the proactive
construct within intrepreneurship. This is probably because
Taiwanese enterprises still preserve the conservative spirit
in daily operations. It could also be triggered by the
conditions and trends existed in international markets. Being
proactive, Taiwanese conglomerate are more flexible than
international conglomerate. And because proactive
orientation encompasses innovation, it probably reveals that
Taiwanese conglomerate perform better in terms of the
innovation applications.
