Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 管理科學研究所 === 92 === Generally speaking, Industrial Personal Computer(IPC) industry is very techniques and capital oriented. Due to global competition nowadays, product features are customized specifications, the types of products are various by customers’ requirements and techniques needed. The diversification of products for manufacturing becomes a relative high entry barrier if compared with other industries. Without a big quantity for economic manufacturing scale, neither a big company nor a small factory has willing to deal with this kind of business. This trend makes IPC industry becomes niche-based industry.
The objective of this research is to provide a guide to globalization strategy analyses, which combines strategy formulation and implementation for domestic IPC industry.
The approach of this study is based on corporate resources capacities, internationalized motives and business environments aspects, an applicable model was identified for IPC industry and some other similar characteristics industries to form their internationalization strategy. In order to discuss the effective level of these three factors in their globalization strategy, some quantitative and qualitative analyses techniques were applied, such as questionnaires and lives chatting to main domestic industrial computer companies.
The result of this study indicates that economic scale and characteristics of IPC industry are the limitation; however, these enterprises reverse their limitation from weakness to strength by applying its core technologies to create differentiation in product application fields. For the small business enterprises, it is better to apply global integration management. In order to keep an enterprise’s competence, efficiency and differentiation of product application fields while the organization become bigger and bigger gradually, the adjustment of management strategy and organization structure of Multination Corporation to react high pressure of local responsiveness expectation from operation is necessary.
Base on Multi Nationality Corporation’s internationalization motives, goals, resources, capabilities and environments analyses, this study shows that these factors have high relativity with country coordination expectation. In another words, no matter enterprises apply what sort of internationalization strategy while enterprises face facing global markets changing and wide range geography gap, the role of communication and integration capability for an multinational corporation in strategy formulation process is very important.
