In the past, we receive information through others and/or mass medium. Nowadays, we can surf Internet for finding information we need. Usually, when searching information, we can only find the information what we are not exactly searching for. As information becomes over-floating, people may hope an agent to do the routine jobs, such as searching, organizing, processing, and analyzing information for them. The development of Intelligent Agent may come in handy in helping people to do these routine jobs, and the Information Intermediation can adopt this new technology to make people’s life more convenient. The past literature in the area of the Intelligent Agent mostly focuses on the development of a new Intelligent Agent system, and/or studies its characteristics. The literature related to Information Intermediation mostly studies the customer relationship management between physical business and virtual community. This paper mainly explores business models of applying Intelligent Agent to Information Intermediation and tries to find what kinds of services Information Intermediation can offer. It also leads to the process of creating competitive advantage for potential competitor by applying the technology of Intelligent Agent.
