1. TamSui vs. sketching
TamSui possesses profound memories and ambiance. Yet, it gradually fell apart and became a place without connection towards the memories. The project was initiated in locating the memorial characteristics of TamSui through freehand sketching. Consequently in apt to returning TamSui’s vary original appearance.
2. TamSui Public Washroom vs. Context
After tourism is introduced in TamSui, public washroom became a public space connecting tourism and memories.
Different from the original context (sketching/text), we attempt to look for the prototype of the site and interacting events by studying its context. The historical appearance and overall impact after tourism are verified by applying new materials and events. Thereafter TamSui will carry a new aspect when the hidden image is drawn out.
When responding to crowded space the users extends themselves from the attached urban space outside of prototype space. The problematic difference of utilization and personal living styles reflects on reformation of space. This project is based on the study and examination of the difference in between prototype and new reformation space.
