Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 物理學系 === 92 === Title of Thesis: Superconductivity in Chevrel phase AgMo6S8 System. Key Word: Chevrel phase Name of Institute: Graduate Institute of Physics,Tamkang University Graduate date: June, 2004 Degree conferred: Master Name of student : Liu, Te- Pang Advisor : Chien, F.Z. 劉 德 邦 錢 凡 之 Abstract: Transition metals M (M = Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Ag) were dopped into Chevrel phase XMo6S8 (X = Ag, Sn ) system. The structure of XMo6S8 is rhombohedral with space group R-3R. The effect due to the size and magnetic moment of the dopped atom on the superconductivity were studied. The bulk samples of M0.1X0.9Mo6S8 were synthesized by the solid-state reaction techniques. Room temperature resistivities of M0.1X0.9Mo6S8 samples are all about 10-3 (Ω-cm ). The superconducting critical temperature lowers as the magnetic moment of the atom increases. And the increment of the size of the dopped atom would lower the superconducting critical temperature. In addition the samples of CdxAg1-xMo6S8 (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8) were also studied to reveal the similar results.
