Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 水資源及環境工程學系 === 92 === This study confers input/output characteristics on Taiwan industry sectors by eco-efficiency indicators and establishes weighting system for different industries to reflect their environmental performance indicators based on Sustainability Reporting Assessment Methodology published by SustainAbility in 2003. The purposes of this study are (1) establishing weighting system of environmental performance indicators (2) application of weighting system on reports in Taiwan (3) providing internal management tool of environmental performance for industries.
Establishing weighting system needs to calculate eco-efficiency ratios of environmental performance indicators of industries first of all and then carry on normalization by manufacturing industry as comparison datum to get relative relations between indicators. Because the indicator which environmental impacts bigger deserve higher weight, this study supposes that weighting is the inverse of relative relation and transforms in linear to obtain preliminary result of weighting system. Finally, modifying weightings of indicators of Waste and Release to Water is to ensure rationality of weighting system.
The weighting system can be not only internal management tool of environmental performance for industries to find out which indicator is important but also assessment tool of corporate sustainability report. Affiliation by difference of weightings, industries can figure out the point of environmental performance in report. The result of application of weighting system on reports in Taiwan demonstrates that industries can grasp themselves characteristics to report.
