To find out the way that presented the discourse of shaping national identity in textbooks. The theory framework includes “collective memory theory”, “nationalism theory”, and “political socialize theory”. To inspect the political democratized and change of the power in ethnicities in Taiwan that influenced the discourse of collective memory. This thesis analyzed the historical textbooks of junior high school in Taiwan; compared the historical educations from 1950 to 2000,and realized how the government in Taiwan shaped or restructured the national identity.
