Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 電腦通訊與控制研究所 === 92 === Owing to remarkable advance of wireless communication technologies, radio-frequency (RF) circuits and antennas find extensive applications. Accurate RF characterization of various kinds of components is crucial importance for successful designs of RF circuits and antennas. The major research content of this thesis is right focused on measurement and parameter extraction for miscellaneous RF components, especially the exploration of parasitic effects in the RF/Microwave frequency region. At first, five different methods are utilized to extract all the fundamental transmission line parameters, including complex-value characteristic impedance and propagation constant. Then, the equivalent circuits of component pads, transmission line open and short end are extracted. Thirdly, chip capacitors, inductors, ferrite beads, and EMI power chokes are measured and the corresponding equivalent circuits that are good for frequencies beyond the first self-resonant frequency (SRF) are extracted. In addition, the equivalent circuits of AM and FM IF transformers are found as well. Moreover, a 450 MHz monopole antenna and an 829 MHz loop antenna measured for extraction of their equivalent circuits. Finally, the fundamental noise parameters, minimum noise figure, optimum source reflection coefficient, and equivalent input noise resistance of a 2.45 GHz HBT BJT are extracted with the aid of both a double-stub coaxial tuner and a triple-stub tuner.
