Due to the characteristic of the ad-hoc wireless network, it is becoming more complex to verifying the performance of a wireless network. The software evaluating methods such as OPNET Modeler, NS-2 or GloMoSim and the hardware and software integrated method like EWANT, APE and GNOMES. The advantage of software simulation is providing an environment that the experiment can be repeatable and their variables are also easily altered and examined. Nevertheless, many studies had shown that the accuracy of simulation results depends closely on the quality of the models used for the physical layer and the link layer. This varies significantly and even changes the relative ranking of the compared routing protocols. To cover all aspects of protocol behavior it is ultimately necessary to run experiments in real-world settings. This thesis proposed a generic platform configuration that suits the entire ad-hoc wireless network. It is fully hardware operated that is independent from any software or operating system. So that the routing protocol implemented under any operating system will loaded into this platform, and to verify most of their characteristic in real-time.
