Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 建築與都市設計研究所 === 92 === The conviction concerning City God is based on the concept of the retribution for good or evil deeds and transmigration of the souls. Such conviction is distinguished with mixture of religious doctrines, rituals, and organizations into the custom of the society. The architectural terminologies about City God Temple, including threatening, fear, and startling, continue to convey the ultimate principle of conviction concerning City God — a universe of transmigration based on the retribution for good or evil deeds.
